You like Art Deco? I’ve got some Art Deco for you.
Keeping out the Help.
Technically those cushions counted as seats, making this a 7 seater. Making it Chrysler’s first minivan. Or something.
There’s luxury for the driver too. As long as it’s hidden beneath the dash where he can’t see it. Also, manual. Nice.
Dat fender.
These are the initials of Mr. Chrysler’s wife, for whom this one off was commissioned for.
Did you know LeBaron used to mean something special? Me neither.

Wow, that’s alot different from the LeBarons I’m used to seeing people drive.... Years ago.... When there were still K cars on the road...

I love that the passengers get cloth, while the driver has to make due with black leather.
Oh how things have changed.

Now that’s classy. However, those aren’t Mrs. Chryler’s initials? From what I’ve found her name was Della Foker

I somehow missed taking a picture of the proper rear seats. Trust me, you weren't missing any leather back there.

I may have misread. I could've taken a picture of the placard for posterity, but then again, reading is for suckers.

Did more reading. It was his wife’s car first, but the initials are his daughter’s.

Like Vanden Plas, Mulliner, Park Ward, Fleetwood, & Fisher, LeBaron was an independent coachbuilder that was eventually bought out and brought in house by its main customer. At the time, having an Imperial with LeBaron coachwork did mean something.
